Pizza Night is a tribute to the 4-legged members of my family. Our yellow lab Wyatt and orange cat Oliver are enjoying a night hanging out together with some slices of pizza, while our gray cat Lucy has no interest in their shenanigans and has fallen asleep. Jake the gecko is hanging around trying to hang with the group and hoping for a taste. The main trio relax on a stack of empty pizza boxes, and I can imagine they are watching cartoons while they chow down. This sculpture is entirely hand-built from the bottom up using a combination of pinch method, coiling, and modeling. It is finished with underglazes and transparent matte glaze.
