Cole Robby is based on a kohlrabi bulb, but this guy has cute little pants. (That may be the best sentence I've ever written.)  This little cutie was made the same time as Cosette and Princess is the Pea while I explored making totems and vegetable-inspired creatures. Cole Robby has a different color scheme than my usual works, which was fun to play with. The center piece of the totem is inspired by the flower of a kohlrabi plant. Having this guy stand on his two skinny legs was a challenge throughout the process. Each piece was sculpted, fired and glazed separately. Pieces were atached after glaze firing.
